St Nicholas in Berden, Essex

This well loved medieval church sits in the small village of Berden, in a peaceful rural setting yet easily accessible by road or rail. There are some great brasses in the church, American Indian style high backed armchairs, and an organ believed to have belonged to renowned organist and composer Samuel Wesley. This is a high amenity church, with electricity, hot water, a microwave, a sink and a flushing toilet! A great choice for a 2 night Champing™ stay along with Stansted Mountfitchet, a comfortable 6 miles walk away!

You can pre-book your continental style hamper breakfast so it’s ready for you when you arrive or you can contact and book a full English breakfast with The Cricketers Arms in Rickling Green or The Cricketers in Clavering.
