St Laurence in Hilmarton

Situated in Hilmarton in North Wiltshire, a small village with a beautiful 12th century and Grade I listed church. You’ll receive a warm welcome from the community of St Laurence, offering you cosy overnight stays with the additional benefits of Champing luxury – a kitchenette including fridge and microwave, and flushing loo! And to make things even more special, you can also book breakfast to be delivered to your church door too.

**If you’d like to stay on Sunday 7th May or Sunday 6th August, there are services at 6pm lasting around 40 minutes. You’ll welcome to stay the night, but do get in touch to arrange these dates directly**

You can pre-book your continental style hamper breakfast directly with the Champing Church Mice at Hilmarton, so it’s ready for you when you arrive – contact details are provided once your booking is confirmed. For an evening meal out, a charming 17th Century inn The Duke is situated over the road from the church (check out opening times directly), and lots of other options in nearby Calne.

It’s also positioned splendidly for exploring the local area by foot or bike. You’re in prime countryside – with a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on your church doorstep, and The North Wessex Downs and The Ridgeway are all easily accessible from your base in Hilmarton.
