    A thoroughly enjoyable stay

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Made to feel very welcome. Church hall well appointed with all we needed and more in the excellent kitchen. We picked up our provisions in Caersws (which has a traditional butchers). Very relaxing evening in the hall and peaceful night in the Church. But be aware that the A road is very busy and quite narrow, not a road to linger on! All in all a really fine stay, thanks for making it available.

Walking the Severn Way from Caersws to Newtown

We walked the Severn Way from Caersws to Newtown and caught the bus to the church. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our stay. The church hall was comfortably set up for dining and lounging and the kitchen was well-equipped. The stained glass window in the church created beautiful light and the campbeds were comfy. The nearby road is narrow and busy. Nonetheless, once through the church gates the experience was peaceful. We had lovely weather and so made good use of the garden bench to enjoy the views of the surrounding hills while having a cuppa.

The welcome cake was much appreciated :)

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay. The welcome cake was much appreciated, and having use of the adjacent church hall with comfy sofas, full kitchen facilities and toilet meant we had all comforts and everything we needed to be perfectly self-sufficient. Thanks to all involved in providing an excellent Champ.

    a beautiful secluded church

A memorable visit to a beautiful secluded church near to Newtown. We were lucky to go on a sunny evening and experience this part of Wales at its best. Thank you for the local cake and jar of plum. I would recommend this overnight stay to anyone who enjoys gorgeous views and the peacefulness of a church. Plan to come back soon!

We had a great stay with our dog!

We had a great stay with our dog! The church was set up well, with comfortable camp beds. The hall was well equipped and comfortable. It was a short drive to Newtown where there are plenty of places to eat. As it was a lovely sunny day we bought fish and chips and were able to enjoy these in the church grounds. We’ll definitely look at other churches on this site and plan our next adventure!
