Alison, my wife, and I had a wonderful time at St Michael’s, Booton… a handy mile and a half from the small Norfolk town of Reepham. This was our first night champing, but certainly not our last (we’re already thinking of Cooling in Kent – not least because Great Expectations is my favourite novel of all). Even alone in the church, our twin camp beds laid out in the middle of the empty nave, it was warm and cosy – at least at the beginning of September. And the sunshine pouring through the stained glass as dawn broke was beautiful. Pub supper a short hike away. Lovely countryside. Quirky Victorian church architecture. What’s not too like?! To the unseen hands of Booton who set everything out for us – thank you!!
