[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We champed at St Thomas’ Saddleworth on Friday 22 September 2017. It was fabulous. We did not know what to expect and my partner packed a tent in case there were bats! The church was spotlessly clean and well looked after. When we arrived it had been set up to be welcoming with cushioned seating and candle lights. After exploring and reading up on all the historical information provided we had a picnic and toasted our hosts. Despite being set on the moors and it raining hard outside we were not cold or uncomfortable. It was very peaceful and calm. We slept like logs. When we awoke the sunlight shone through the stained glass which was an amazing sight to see. Breakfast was at a nearby farm and was hearty to say the least. The whole experience was a joy from start to finish and we fully intend to do it again next year at one of the other churches.
