It was such a welcome return to Champing, for Jenny and I to visit the Church of the Blessed Virgin, set amidst the dairy farms of Somerset. A small but beautiful church of great simplicity, the church was prepared and welcoming as we enjoyed a candlelit catch up from pre-covid times. The ample supplies of tea etc. were appreciated and the local pub and farm shop provided excellent supper and breakfast respectively. Champing is a most marvellous opportunity to enjoy rural churches and to feel in some way connected with the generations of worshippers who have gone before. A wonderful experience- thank you so much!
