[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We first saw an article about Champing on The BBC Travel Show and thought it would be something different. We picked St Katherines in Chiselhampton near Oxford. We picked the key up from the local pub.the Coach and Horses. What a lovely little church. We quickly made ourselves at home with a cup of tea and set up our sleeping arrangements. The campbeds are remarkably comfortable for someone of my somewhat large size.We brought our own bedding, sleeping bags, pillows etc. Although there is no heating in the church, we did not feel cold even though it was the middle of September. It was a lovely, peaceful couple of days spent listening to our radio, reading, playing games and supping wine. The local pub was only 10 minutes walk away.We had two very substantial breakfasts there and two very good evening meals. The comments book had entries from as far afield as Japan and USA.We would definitely consider doing this again even though we are in our 60’s.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
