My friend booked us into All Saints Church at Billesley last week and it was brilliant. We stayed one night and loved it. Great little church, full of character, tho a shame we couldn’t explore the grave yard better as it was full of stingers and I didn’t pack my jeans. We used the Manor next door for food and drink and their spa facilities (all inclusive of our price) and everyone there was very pleasant and helpful (GREAT cream Tea).
Would recommend this church as a ‘starter’ champing experience because of its location, not isolated, and for the size just right for 2.
I would recommend taking extra lighting just to give the place more ‘ambiance’, there was just enough gas to make our cups of T, thought it was about to run out. But we had a great time and the camp beds and chairs provided, plus sleeping bags were all nice touches to make our stay really comfy.
