My second time Champing at St Mary’s in Fordwich, this time with a friend. Such a beautiful little church, so historic. Beautiful little town right by the river. Not so cold this time. We were hoping for ghosts; nothing happened except many times, in the middle of the night, a strange dragging/scraping noise heard could be heard outside. Too scared (and cold) to investigate. We are hoping to stay again next year and, if it happens, we will check it out! (I think). Only quibble was the water machine wouldn’t work so we had to improvise with one of the giant water bottles. Also, not clear enough instructions in the loo. Not as many fake candles as last time, shame as it was so pretty. ( hope people haven’t been pinching them, we noticed some womble had actually tried to light one! Seriously?) . I would seriously love to tidy the graveyard a little. Lovely wild flowers but a little too overgrown and tatty in places. Anyway, beautiful place, will go again.
