A solo champ in this lovely church, noted for its 15th century tower, 16th century chancel screen and 21st century flushing loo.

On arrival I was warmly welcomed by Morwenna who gave me the key and showed me where everything was. A kitchenette complete with microwave, toaster, hob and even a dishwasher made this very much a home from home!

I have to admit the clock chimes limited my sleep during the night but at least I didn’t have to keep looking at my phone for the time. Lack of shut-eye was more than compensated for by watching the early morning sun streaming through the east window and lighting the chancel in a warm glow – unforgettable.
