Aww man we had an absolutely fabulous time at St Cyriac, Swaffham Prior and a very cosy night in… who knew you could get pizza and falafels delivered to a church? Plenty of space, safe (battery-powered) candles and fairy lights gave this absolutely beautiful space a sort of ‘festival vibe’ and the ancient coffin-wheeler in the corner just the right amount of spook for us! Stunning grounds and location with another church directly opposite and we just thoroughly enjoyed the chance to spend so much time together without getting wet (as camping was or alternative, and it did happen to pour overnight!) so this meant no packing up of wet tents and we had a lovely loo, with heater in it, and even a little kitchen – which was a really nice surprise, and meant our food, and most importantly a vegan Biscotti-flavoured cheesecake, could be kept safe from my labrador Coconut! A really fab adventure and lovely to know our funds are going to help keep these beautiful buildings of such architectural and cultural significance alive! Nice little walkies around the most picturesque village and we even found some windmills! A really lovely time in good company and we didn’t even need to hot water bottles supplied!! Thank you – we’ll be back next year for sure!!
