Second time trying champing and we loved it! The church was cozy and the perfect cool temperature inside for a hot summer’s day. We loved sitting in the church yard in the evening overlooking the farm; it was so peaceful and calm. Our dog enjoyed watching the sheep (from a distance), too! The public toilets were just a minute’s walk away and exceptionally clean and well-lit (automatic lights came on at night) – they felt safe to use at night. It was nice to have access to the community hall – we only made use of the refrigerator and sink but it was nice to know we had access to hot water and cooking facility if needed. The only thing I’d change is that I found the camp beds to be a bit uncomfortable, but I suppose that’s how it is when you’re camping! Great peaceful experience and we will be back again.
