We stayed at St Katherine’s over the August bank holiday weekend and loved every minute of it. We’d built up some apprehension about sleeping in a church since booking, but our fears melted away as soon as we stepped inside and realised what a tranquil, elegant, historic space we were having the unique opportunity to experience. We explored the church and surrounding graveyard fully and then settled in to one of the pew boxes at dusk and enjoyed a picnic dinner. St Katherine’s looked even more amazing as night fell and we turned on the little pew lights and battery-operated candles. We eventually retired to the camp beds on the cosy balcony level and heard owls in the trees nearby as we fell asleep which certainly added to the atmosphere![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
