We have just returned from our first experience of champing, and had a great time. It was lovely to be at the heart of such a beautiful little town, next to the river, and the 13th century church is really special. We felt proud to be part of the contributory process to keeping the church open to the public.
The church is very beautiful, and we loved waking up to the light through the stained glass windows. The church was very peaceful too. I would much rather Champ than hang out in a tent with no electricity! We took an electric cool box and a portable dvd player and had some lovely chill time in the church. Would highly recommend, also the George and Dragon pub with fabulous garden!
