We stayed at St. Mary the Virgin for one night as part of a longer trip to Kent. It was a great experience. The booking process was very straight-forward. On arrival the church itself was lovely and all ready for us (thumbs up to the Champbot). We had a slight issue with the keys but a lovely volunteer got us sorted in no time at all. After a peaceful night’s sleep we spent the next day exploring the lovely town of Fordwich.

If you’re thinking about Champing then I’d thoroughly recommend it – it’s great to be doing to be doing something different and supporting a worthy charity at the same time.

If you’re stuck on locations then Fordwich really is good – the George and Dragon is a great pub and it’s easy walking distance to a decent sized shop and station in Sturry.
