We stayed for two nights at All Saints in Langport and had a wonderful time. This is the second time we’ve been champing – we enjoyed it so much we booked another stay at a champing church this year. In fact, we’ve had such a good time we’re going to champ somewhere else at the end of this summer rather than wait until next year to do it again!

All Saints in Langport is a beautiful and peaceful church, with interesting architecture and history as well as lovely views across the countryside, and we felt lucky to be able to spend a couple of nights at the church, so that we could really get the opportunity to appreciate it and its surroundings.

The facilities were good – there was an ample supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water, and the toilet was clean. The camp beds were comfortable and we appreciated the pretty fairy lights. We all had a very good night’s sleep, even “hedgehog” who didn’t have a camp bed of his own!

Champing is a special and unique experience and it’s great to have this experience while knowing that not only are you having this special experience, you are helping to fund the preservation and upkeep of the wonderful and historic churches in the care of the CCT.
